Christ, my calves have been cramping a lot lately.

The left cramped yesterday morning and had me swearing in pain for a few minutes.

This morning the left has cramped twice and the right once. This is ridiculous.

Ouch.

*about 10 minutes later*

Hrm, just looked up high potassium foods. Avacado is among them!! I've been having avacado on sandwiches pretty much every day.

*even later*

There are a lot of high potassium foods that I eat often!! Just bananas aren't one of them. *slaps legs* You're getting your bloody potassium quit cramping!!

Potassium! Potassium is your friend...love the bananas, they will love you in return! Seriously, charlie horses are a sign of a potassium deficiency. Potassium and calcium both help keep your muscles in a relaxed state.

Yeah, friend of mine also told me this and I haven't had bananas in a while.

Must get to a shop and stock up!

Try water. It could be dehydration. Eat bananas; it also could be lack of potassium.

My legs cramp up while i sleep if I never have enough water.

Thing is, I always have a bottle of water with me and drink quite often.

I spend half the day on the toilet because of it. }:-\

Saw your post on microbiology community... try magnesium for muscle cramps... Blackmores or another good quality one.

AHA! I knew there was something else that would help with cramps, but I couldn't remember what it was. *nods vigorously*
If u need some magnesium-in-a-pill, my sister gave me some ages ago for my chronic cramps. I never got to use it, as the cramps stopped about that time.

Been reading up and one food that has all these goodies in it is avacado. And I eat some avacado almost every day!

I thought my diet was improving. I have been getting morning cramps for years, it's just the last few days have been ridiculous. I have a feeling it may be to do with the colder mornings.
