I'm very much against declawing, but if it's that or having a cat put down because people won't own non-declawed cats I supposed it's -acceptable-. I know to many people that wouldn't own cats if they had claws. I wish that it was illegal so people had to educate themselves before just going out and owning a pet cause I personally believe that if you can't take the time to take care of your cats claws to keep them from scratching people or furniture then you shouldn't own cats. It sickens me to death how lazy cat owners are when it comes to disciple and hygeine when concerning their cats.
