My obsession, at ages 13 and 14, was Jordan Knight from New Kids. *cringing* And I do mean obsession. One small mercy is that I'd never heard of fanfic and thus wrote none, though I had some daydreams that, to look back on them now, are exactly teeny Mary Sue fics. For example: The band's tour bus gets lost and pulls over to ask me for directions while I'm doing crossing guard duty at my school. *laughs* And of course Jordan spots me and immediately falls head over heels... And of course I sincerely, deeply believed that nobody else ever could possibly understand the depth of True Love and passion I felt for him.

Date: 2003-11-12 10:18 pm (UTC)In 1993 however I discovered Bon Jovi. I wrote a really long story about a woman who lived in the mountains and plane crashed nearby and it was... Bon Jovi's learjet!! So she puts 'em up for a while but there were also bad guys and Richie from Bon Jovi got fatally wounded *shock - I LIKED Richie!* and stuff, makes me thoroughly cringe these days.
As for Chris Cornell, yeah I discovered he was married to his manager. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Chris I got into in 1995 when I became a complete grungie freak. I still think he's damn sexy and a magnificent singer and songwriter.
When I was 13 I more obsessed with Edward Furlong *swoon*, I even grew my fringe long like his. God I make myself sick.

Isn't Chris Cornell fronting what's left of the Smashing Pumpkins, or something? Or is it Billy Corgan fronting Soundgarden? Meep, I can't remember.
And as for remembering myself at 14? Mummy, I'm scared! I still have a 14 page letter I wrote to Bon Jovi that I never got around to finishing and sending (cos, you know, 14 pages is just *not* long enough!) Plus, there's the one that I *did* send... I'm rather glad I don't have a copy, because I would just cringe myself into an early grave, I think.

Yes, I'd like to... I have an essay to write tonight that is giving me the shits (notice me avoiding it like crazy?) So barring something coming up tomorrow like extreme exhaustion or a suprise field trip from Luke (he owes me one, and can't go tonight cos of said essay :( ) I will try to be there. It'll be interesting to see if the constant voice workouts of Richard III have screwed up my voice (Cosima style ;) or made it stronger. I haven't been happy with it lately, but that may be just general boredom of only being able to perform the same song night after night.
OK, gotta do this essay or I will be chained to this chair forever. *shoots Performance Theory with a harpoon gun*
