Ever since I was a pre-teen I've used song lyrics to express what I think or feel. When I was a teenager I had song lyrics stuck to my door and wrote them in my diary and wrote stories with Mary Jane characters who played music that expressed what they thought and felt.

I still do it now in LJ, either in topics or just blatantly posting the lyrics of the entire song.

All this time I have been waiting for someone to come along and just understand precisely what I mean when I post a certain lyric. It hasn't happened yet, I'm wondering if it ever will...

No, I'm not depressed, I'm just pondering.

When i was in school i started a lyrics book, stupid ones for when i was happy and ones for when i was sad and ones i thought were just awesome i suppose. I used to love reading them and reciting them.. i don't know a lot of the songs you put up soo can't really help on that one i'm afraid ;)

I feel the same way about lyrics. Sometimes a song totally captures the way I feel about something or someone. But then I don't think anyone else will ever see it the way I do, because we all interpret things differently.

I notice when you post lyrics it's usually for a reason, but I don't comment because they're obviously personal to you, and I don't want to intrude on that ::blush::

I totally agree. A lot of the times you post lyrics BJ, it seems like they have a real pointm, and often I go "Oh, she's posting these because those lines are kinda relating to X" and things like that... but I don't wanna post comments like "A-HAH!!!!!! You posted the lyric about the green munchkin eating your face because yesterday a green munchkin stole your bicycle!" and so on... it just seems presumptuous :)

So you might be a little more understood than you think :) Of course, we might be misinterpreting why we think you posted something, but just because we don't comment doesn't mean it had no relevance to our brains ^^

Actually beej, I do understand what you're saying quite often. It's just that I forget that some people DONT live music, and therefore I don't see it as anything odd unless I think about it.

After reading everyone elses replies, I feel slightly embarrassed. Mine is, alas, the most clunky, poorly phrased, and arrogant post there. *sighs* I could have just tacked a "yeah, me too" on to sassi's reply.
