It was raining when I took these, I will probably try again on a sunny day and get some shots of the purple peas and banksias that are everywhere... oh and the grevillia.

I'll start with the ultra-common and somewhat boring Geraldton Wax.

We have loads of kangaroo paws growing around the place at the moment. These stunning red and green numbers are Mangles Kangaroo Paw (Anigozanthus manglesii)

Then there was a white flower that is common, but I'm not sure what it's called. I'm sure I've ID'd it at sometime but I forget now.

This could have been a better pic, it loses definition because of the flash.

Next up we have Hibbertia scanlens. A very common yellow flowering bush.

These gladioli are pretty, just like the Watsonia's that grow prolifically around my house. However, both are related and both are obnixious weeds.

This next one I think is an orchid. Again the flash made it lose details but it's a very pretty little yellow star shaped flower.

As I was walking around I spotted something orange. I went to investigate and discovered these little beauties!! I think they're a kind of donkey orchid. Again the focus is dodgy but you can still see 'em.

And that ends the flower tour of the north east corner of Murdoch University campus. I'll try and take some better ones soon.
