When your first reaction to a unit is *twitter squee* you know that's a good thing.

I think I'm really gonna like Evolution & Conservation, it's RIGHT up my alley. And I have so many books in my own personal library on the topic!

I got all excited and made a bee line to Dymocks and have now finally ordered in Lamarck's Signature. I hope in one of the essays I can argue for some of the merits of possible inheritance of acquired characteristics and I'm gonna need this book for references.

Now the only hiccup with the semester is N228, but I hope I can deal with that.

Oooh, I want to do that unit too! Thinking of picking it up next year (in case it isn't included in the biol degree IO plan to do after honours, as I'm still working out which biol degree suits me best)

my first thought? EEEEEKKKK! Glad it's your degree and not mine... Deciding against repeating year 12 to do VetBiol was a *very* good thing for me, I think. My hatred of science has not abated.

That said, I had a similar experience with my "Shakespeare" unit this morning upon hearing that we can choose to enter the "production stream" and instead of writing lots of essays, participate in a production of King Lear. SQUEEEEEE! My entire curriculum this semester is now officially located in the Drama Workshop. (except Processes of Assessment, but I'm doing that externally)

*begins planning to annoy the world with complaints of 'When are they gonna put in a heater, huh? It's freezing in here!'*

Heh, well I had to fail high school, and get a diploma in Human Services which I DESPISED before I came around and realised I wanted to work with animals/nature science all along.

And then today I had Advandced Production. Off the scale on the Squee-ometer so far-- we're gonna do Richard III in the style of Moulin Rouge.

A musical! SQUEESQUEESQUEE!! Auditions are next week, but now I'm *really* in the mood for Karaoke. :)
