Sims is now crashing at random intervals

this is bad.
I wish it would at least give an error message so I had a vague idea of the problem so I would maybe have a vague idea how to fix it.

grrr, stupid computer

My Sims did that too, for awhile. But only when I was playing the one family. And then the problem went away...don't know why exactly...

Do you use Windows ME?

I use Win98 SE

I had ME for a while last year (before I got Sims). It was nothing but trouble. Because I was having so much damn trouble with WinME I didn't realise that there was a virus in there also. I had to format my hard drive. It was all bad. Now I don't like WinME one little bit.

Evil winblows.

Are you playing the original Sims or an expansion set? Hot Date sucks, it's a completely broken piece of software that can't function with out the patch.

I have the lot (except Unleashed, which hasn't been released in Australia yet).

I need some more RAM, having all the expansions slows things down quite a bit. I also have a lot of downloaded objects, which slows stuff down even more.
