THE West Australian government has rejected a proposal for a controversial development near the environmentally-sensitive Ningaloo Reef.
"I think there were far too many risks involved in accepting this development,"
Premier Geoff Gallop said.
"The amount of information that we had available ... led me to the conclusion that this would carry risks, and if we were to lose the integrity of this areas I think that would be a dereliction of duty for any government."
The Premier finally did something intelligent
