Now I remember another reason I hate anti-biotics

I have a case of thrush, or at least that's what I reckon it is.

It itches like hell and keeps me awake and uncomfortable.

*eats lots of yoghurt*

Evil anti-biotics, screwing up my gut flora!

At the moment I'm too sterile for my own good. The mouthwash I'm using has chlorohexidine in it (recommended for use only in 2 week blocks, which I adhere to), and the paraderm cream also has chlorohexidine, but it helps the itch a little until I can get something better for it.

I am SO letting my kids eat dirt.

Never heard of it, wonder if they have it in Oz. What's the name of the drug in it?

Nystatin is actually the chemical name. It's an antifungal treatment they often use for vaginal or oral thrush-- comes in an oral suspension or as a cream... It's sometimes combined with a steroid for skin infections. I'm sure they'd have it down thar... I know they have it in Germany and UK.

Not sure but the name sounds familiar. it might be the cream i have some of here.
