My parents live down the road from a creek/stormwater drain and have often had frogs in their garden. This has been helped along by my nephew, who has been collecting tadpoles and keeping them in a small pond in the backyard (the frogs can easily make their way back to the creek when they mature). It works well, because the cat is now too old to do things like chase frogs, but her presence keeps other cats away, so the frogs are safe.
This a Motorbike Frog (Litoria moorei - also known as the Western Bellfrog) froglet sitting on a Marri nut (in Western Australia we call them honky nuts).
