"Don't pay it no mind, you're under 18 you won't be doing any time"

I've realised something.

When it comes to animal issues I am pretty left wing. I will go the environmentalist way and scream at the capitalists who would just rape and pillage the lot if they could for the short term gains. However, I am not completely extreme. I still love my meat and my car.

However, for human issues I am pretty right wing. The bleeding hearts piss me off. Yeah, this was inspired by the events of Thursday night. Somebody commented that violence was not the answer because they have been bought up with violence so don't care, also the fact that humiliation wouldn't work for the same reason. Is this reasoning how the justice system became so fucked up?? "Oh poor you, you had a bad childhood." *smack on the wrist* "Now run along and be a good kid." In which they repeat offend, KNOWING damn well that they will get away with stuff. They get it in their head that it's their God given right to steal the stuff HONEST people have worked hard for. So when they DO get punished they scream blue murder and the people in the right that have punished them get in trouble! Seriously fucked up. Maybe they get put into a "correctional facility". I've studied youth work. It's a load of bullshit, it's all about passing the buck and not actually helping anyone. When I started Human Services I wanted to help people. I just ended up jaded. The system as it stands DOES NOT WORK. Just because you have an abusive childhood is not an excuse to be abusive yourself. MOST people understand what's right and wrong and do right. It's NO FUCKING EXCUSE!! USE YOUR BRAINS!! These people need a good kick up the ass so they maybe they will THINK and hopefully after their punishment is over, try and make some good of their lives. Maybe. But no, we have a bleeding hearts system that punishes the honest ones and lets the crooks get away with anything. *sigh* We've gone from one extreme to another, from hanging someone for stealing bread to letting people get away with grand robbery scot free.

I'm sure torture will make these little shits "care". *growls*

I've learned quite a few things in my studies over the last few years.

The reason for life is to pass on ones genes. We really are nothing but elaborate vessels for a nucleic acid to replicate. Via natural selection the strongest genes survive and so life is constantly evolving and improving itself.

Humans go and screw this up. Among humans those with "less fit" genes are able to breed. Many with "more fit" genes choose not to breed. Third world, generally less fit and less educated populations breed out of control while developed, more educated nations birthing rate is dropping. Yes, yes, I know Hitler and such thought things like this, they called it eugenics. Thing is, in a way they were right. The problem was however the usual one extreme to the other. It was still people trying to play God rather then just letting nature take it's course.

I mean, if it weren't for these amazing medical miracles people I love would not be here. I sure as hell am not going to a Hitler and chose who should live and who should die. That is not for ANY human to decide! But on the large scale it should still work as natural selection, we shouldn't interfere. For the good of the Earth.

My other point was about how humans are biologically K breeders but have become R breeders. R & K breeding are terms applied to mammals.
K breeders are large mammals, they mature slowly and have few offspring very occaisionally. The young are raised by parents for many years before becoming independent. The population hovers at equilibrium. Think elephants, think great apes, think... humans.
R breeders are small mammals, they mature very quickly and have large litters often. Parental care is very brief to non-existent. Their populations grow and grow and grow until suddenly the resources run out and CRASH. Think lemmings, think mice and rats, think cats, think... humans.

Due to agriculture, society and capitalism we have gone from being what we should biologically be to being pretty much very large rats. Sucking up resources faster than they can ever be replaced. And it's encouraged by capitalist governments because it's good for the economy or something, also, more population equals more soldiers if you go to war. Once again, we've fucked it all up.
