It's like thunder, lightning, the way you love me is frightening...

Woah. Storm fronts moved through last night and today. Last night the game of Trivial Pursuit drinking game was abandoned due to inclement weather. We all stood around outside or at the windows watching the sky flash and hearing the sky crack and rumble.

Some of the cracks were so loud I jumped and screamed, then proceeded to laugh my head off. I often do this on rides too, shit myself then piss myself laughing. I'm so weird... It was very, very impressive weather and it turned part of the complex Matt lives in into a swimming pool. Photos to come. :)

This morning was just low, long rumbles and booms and vague flashes, vaguer due to the daylight.

Went bowling and bowled as eclectic as usual. My average has gone down. Sometimes I bowl strikes and spares and actually look like I'm actually getting skilled at this game, then I'll bowl a bunch of gutter balls or balls that just swerve completely off course. }:-\

We bowled pretty well overall tho. Matt bowled a bunch of strikes in... was it the second or third game? And at the start they were playing awesome early 90's music like MC Hammer *laffs* and Dizzy!! *squeals*, they later switched to crappy current music tho *sigh*, so I ceased bopping about and singing between bowls. There was many little kids there as well, scary.

I now have a vague headache and feel kinda seedy. I know a good meal, a shower and decent, non-snore-disrupted sleep will cure it but I took some panadol anyway.

Quiz night is Tuesday!!!!

Today honeyeaters became anteaters

I forgot to put this in my last post.

This must be the official "first good rains of the season" according to nature. There were winged ants EVERYWHERE. They were all around Matt's place, then mum rang and I found that they were all around our place too, so it must have been the ants going "woohoo, weather is good, let's all find new nests and start new colonies!"

This caused the birds to have a field day. Honeyeaters, wattlebirds, peewees, a wagtail sitting in the driveway leaping up and grabbing them out of the air, a black-faced cuckoo shrike on a wire doing the same thing, doves eating dead ones off the ground. Twas very cool. :)
