nemesis bird:until recently it was the male Western Spinebill. Don't have one at the moment.

most wanted bird:Right now - Garnet Pitta - I have a chance to see it in Malaysia
what model and brand of bins do you use?:Pentax DCF-HR II 10 x 42
what model and brand of scope do you use?:Don't have my own yet. In Broome I used a Kowa.
what was the last lifer you added to your list?:White-backed Swallow
where did you see your last lifer?:Just south of Coorow - about 300km north of Perth
what's the last bird you saw today?:Sun's not up yet - but I bet it will be either a Senegal Dove or Singing Honeyeater
best bird song you've heard ever:it's a toss up - Pied Butcherbird, Grey-crowned Babbler, Singing Bushlark
favorite field guide:Michael Morcombe's compact guide - goes everywhere with me
what do you do when you're indoors and can't see the sky?:Cook, sing, sit on the computer
who is your birder role model?:Sean Dooley and Phoebe Snetsinger - yes I'm a ticker at heart
do you find the term twitcher flattering, normal, or derogatory?:I have no opinion on it - I get pretty twitchy myself
what birds do you find the hardest to identify?:Pelagics and Swifts (and non-Australia little brown birds).
what birds can you easily identify that others may have problems with?:Migratory waders
do you count non-native birds?:If they have breeding populations or are vagrant/self-introduced - yes
do you count reintroduced birds?:Yes
do you belong to a bird-related organization (RSPB, Audubon)?:Yes - Birds Australia/Birds W.A.
have you studied birds as part of your coursework in school?:No - I have done biology/Conservation Biology/Animal Care though, which inevitably covers birds a bit
ever had the real filming location of a movie revealed to you by birdsong?:Just the other night I figured out that Nerds FC must have been filmed over east due to calls - but I couldn't pick exactly where.
