Am I the only one who finds Linkin Park Pony's stupid chail mail funny?

I wanna reply laughing, but I fear I'll offend the touchier ones.

Bleh.

*stabs all spammers with a pencil*

I have better things to worry about than stupid chain mails.

It's something in the air.
I wanted to put on MLPFREAK'S birthday post....SO?
And then when she invariably whined, I wanted to put.....'CRY ME A RIVER!'

But I used to talk with her. She 14 and not um, very mature for her age, and she was really scared. :/
I think she just wanted a hug from the big girls, lol.

kids these days make no sense.

I went through my first dark period when I was 14. I see 12 year olds trying to be 18. And a 14 year old gets scared by stupid chain mail.

I guess it was reading all that Dean Koontz that did it. :) I seem to have turned out okay...

Fair point gemfyre....kids today never read James Herbert or Stephen King. Its all happy stuff! I grew up on poltergeist and evil dead. I can recall being haunted for weeks by the chant "We're coming to get you" LOL!!

I remember being TERRIFIED by Ghostbusters and Gremlins when I was 5 years old.

Dark Crystal freaked me out too (even tho I absolutely loved that movie anyway).

I think all three movies are great today :)

I thought it was pretty hilarious. Like I said in the post, I'm sure it was intended as a joke. I wouldn't have thought too much about passing it on, I don't think, since I wouldn't think that anyone could possibly take it seriously. Just goes to show how many different viewpoints there are out there!

This is what I didn't say: Come ON. How could anyone possibly, realistically think that EMAIL, of all things, has any bearing on ANYTHING even remotely supernatural?? It's just ridiculous! I'm ashamed that email forwards go as far as they do; there's no excuse for it. At least chain letters have kind of a real-paper mystical quality.

But she needed her "hug from the big girls" :-) so I gave it to her. She's a nice girl, if a little immature.

I *loved* sel's response. It had people at work giving me those ever present weird looks again as I laughed out loud at my computer screen. *hangs head in shame*

However. If she's scared, she's scared. It's too bad that she took *that,* of all things, seriously, but she'll get over it.

Bebear:

SWALLOW YOUR SOUL! SWALLOW YOUR SOUL!
hehehe

When I was 14 I don't even remember what went on. I got involved in the wrong crowd and just did the hard drug/drinking thing. But I cleaned up when i was 14 too. I realized my life was going nowhere. When I was little my mom let me watch horror films. Nothing that was just butchering and nothing to do with satan. I had to sneak the Omen tape hehehe. But that left me with nightmare on elm street. The only movie that scared me as a kid was Who Framed Roger Rabbit. And that par where the guys eyes pop out was pretty freaky.

As far as lincoln park goes....the fact that she really believed it freaks me out more than the letter which I would have deleted or posted on my LJ for all to laugh at.
