Came home to find a dead spotted dove in the backyard.

There are a few reasons why I don't think this is Phantom's handywork.
1. She is peacefully asleep on my bed, not at all agitated
2. The only doves she has ever caught before are dead ones
3. She only catches honeyeaters
4. She hardly ever kills the honeyeaters, I doubt she'd kill a dove
5. She always brings in her catches, this one is outside

I should get rid of it tho, it has ants on it. I will do a superficial autopsy first tho. :)

Just took a closer look. Tail feathers were gone. Took a look under the neck feathers and found wheat. I only had sticks and dad was too keen to bury it so I didn't get a really good look. Couldn't see any blood, but all I can imagine is that the wheat was in the crop. *shrug* I guess I'll never know.

Driving home today was a hoot. Most of the way up Guildford Rd and Great Eastern Hwy I was stuck next to or behind an absolute rustbucket of a Land Rover. The plates were from Qld. I sure as hell hope it didn't get driven all the way over here belching it's smoke and polluting the atmosphere, ugh. Police car went right past and did nothing, I thought cars belching smoke were illegal these days *rolls eyes*. The driver also couldn't stay in his lane. And the thing would stall every time he stopped it!! *laffs*
