One of my old tapes from when I was about 5 actually plays.
Side B mainly has voice recordings featuring me and others. I used to just leave a tape on record and record whatever I could.
However side A has a certain song that I haven't heard since I was a little kid. I sometimes get it in my head occaisionally but never ever thought I'd ever hear it again.
The chorus goes
Do you wanna join in?
Do you wanna have fun?
Do you wanna start feeling good?
You'll never go wrong if you're singing this song
When you're in our neighbourhood
About all I remember is that it was a kids puppet show like thing which involved various animals - one of them was a cranky crow. And I believe Shirley Strachan was involved in it. That's all I remember.
Anyone happen to know anything about it?? It's a long shot but you never know.
And the song after that seems to be a remix of Walk Like An Egyptian, from back around the time the song was released.
My God this cassette is a priceless relic. I have another cassette from the same era and I know what some of the stuff on it is, problem is that it won't play, the cassette player just wants to eat it. :(
