What's the last thing you ate?
Pesce Del Reggio - a dish from the Tropea restaurant up the road. I'll post a photo later when I get FTP working.
It was a HUGE fillet of dory with shrimps and a creamy mushroom sauce and it was lovely! The meals also came with a plate of vegetables. The potato tasted weird and I didn't think much of the beans and peas, but the pumpkin was awesome (must have been butternut) so I ate all that because Matt doesn't eat it anyway.

What's your favorite cheese?
I'll have to say Brie. On salt and vinegar rice crackers with cabanossi. Mmmmmmm. *feels the kilos pile on*

What's your favorite fish?
I remember really liking Spanish Flag when we used to catch it up in Broome. As for seafood all round - I adore mud crab and scallops.

What's your favorite fruit?
Perfectly ripe and juicy nectarines.

When, if ever, did you start liking olives?
I don't mind black olives on pizza or a subway roll but whole I still can't stand them (and I tried one just last week!) I don't think I like green olives. I like olive oil however!

When, if ever, did you start liking beer?
Like most kids I liked beer when I was young. So I was given a small amount on occaision - my nephew is getting the same now. I remember one time my Pop poured himself a glass then went elsewhere briefly and when he returned it was gone! I'm not sure exactly when I went off beer - I just say 8. I think beer is disgusting now.

When, if ever, did you start liking shellfish?
To clarify here - shellfish are MOLLUSCS. Not prawns or crab - they are crustaceans and I have loved them forever.
When I was younger I tried a smoked, tinned oyster. It tasted like smoky, muddy rubber which was gross and for years I thought I didn't like shellfish because of that. I did try limpets straight off the rock up in Broome when I was 10 and experimental - they were gooey and extremely salty.
THEN - Matt and I went out to lunch at a restaurant and he got a salad with octopus and scallops seared in garlic butter or something. I tried a bit - and was hooked. When cooked properly shellfish is DIVINE! Now I am a scallop addict and will eat any shellfish. Octopus and squid MUST be cooked properly for me to eat it (or else I have texture issues) and I've discovered I don't like raw oysters much but cooked they are delicious.

What was the best thing your mum/dad/guardian used to make?
Umm, everything? Haha, my mum and nan could make so many good meals that I can't decide. Sure they made lots of stuff that I didn't like as well but if I did like it it was really good.

What's the native specialty of your home town?
I don't believe we have one. There is a proliferation of seafood restaurants seeing as Perth is located on the river/ocean. Maybe the Freo sardine?? Matt's home town makes a foul concoction of pie and mushy peas *spews* - called a pie floater.

What's your comfort food?
Mum's vege soup - which unfortunately only gets made in winter. Hash browns, grapes, cherry tomatoes - anything that's easy to prepare and eat I guess.

What's your favorite type of chocolate?
Cadbury creme eggs. Lindt dark (but not too dark).

How do you like your steak?
I prefer it not to be bloody but still to be tender. I guess if asked at a restaurant I'd say medium or medium well done.

How do you like your burger?
Bacon Deluxe with pickles!! *droolz*
Or the healthier option - a "mummy" burger. Lesse - tomato sauce, meat pattie, egg, cheese, beetroot, tomato, lettuce, mayo, sometimes pineapple. These things get so big you can hardly get your mouth around them!

How do you like your eggs?
Crunchy white and runny yolk. Seeing as it's almost an impossibility I'd prefer the white crunchy and the yolk however. I have serious issues with the texture of egg white and can't eat it if it's too rubbery/gooey. Yolk however I don't care - I love the yolk. Well cooked doused in Italian dressing or runny and spread on toast, mmmm.

How do you like your potatoes?
Roast, hash brown, chips, deep fried, barbecued slices - whatever!

How do you take your coffee?
I hate coffee, I think it tastes gross. I don't mind the smell of fresh coffee beans however.

How do you take your tea?
Don't drink tea. What I DO drink in this range is hot chocolate - and my favourite is Jarrah Chocolatte Fudge.

What's your favorite mug?
My one that says "Everything I needed to know about life I learned from my cat". With a pic of a cat and the advice on the back.

What's your biscuit or cookie of choice?
Homemade is best, and the best is yo-yos. I'll have to say K-mart's Decadent choc-chip for the best store bought bikkie. I swear they are biscuit chip chocolate rather than choc-chip biscuit.

What's your ideal breakfast?
99% of the time I have a bowl of cereal - any variety with fruit and flakes is good. But a full on breakfast is always nice - bacon, eggs, hash browns, fried mushrooms, fried tomato, baked beans. *starts to drool*

What's your ideal sandwich?
Meat and salad. Salami is nice. Sprouts are preferably to lettuce. Avacado spread, mayonnaise...

What's your ideal pizza (topping and base)?
I don't think much about pizza. Deep pan - as long as the toppings are decent I'll eat it. Seafood pizzas never turn out as good as they should be, I'd rather eat seafood some other way.

then I ate breakfast

What's your ideal pie (sweet or savory)?
Steak & kidney (preferably with mushrooms too). Mmmmmm.

What's your ideal salad?
I like lots of salads.
Yellow Salad - cheese, corn and pineapple
Yellow Salad variant - pineapple, sultanas, shredded coconut
Taco Salad - lettuce, tomato, white onion, grated cheese, crushed corn chips, mayo and sour cream dressing
Chicken Salad - lettuce, tomato, mushroom, egg, cheese, beetroot, potato, capsicum, anything else you might fancy with marinated grilled chicken strips and creamy black pepper dressing.
Basic Green Salad - Lettuce, tomato, mushroom, cheese, capsicum, all doused in Italian dressing

What food do you always like to have in the fridge?
Does milk count? Always gotta have it. And juice.

What food do you always like to have in the freezer?
Hash browns are the food of the moment.

What food do you always like to have in the cupboard?
Herbs and spices. Tinned spaghetti and stuff like that and instant noodles and pasta meals.

What spices can you not live without?
Mixed herbs, garlic.

What sauces can you not live without?
Sweet soy. Sushi without sweet soy is not sushi.

Where do you buy most of your food?
Depends. Organised shops are usually done at Action because I have a frequent shopper card there. Otherwise I usually just pop down to the nearby Woolworths. I've also discovered markets and Asian food stores are great for cheap stuff.

How often do you go food shopping?
Preferrably once a week for a "house shop", but I'll often find myself popping out and grabbing this and that throughout the week.

What's the most you've spent on a single food item?
Umm. Bought a lot of scallops and prawns once for a dish I made - that cost a small fortune.

What's the most expensive piece of kitchen equipment you own (excluding 'white goods')?
Probably the Ronson Grill - which I so could not live without. It was a gift from mum for Christmas because after I moved out I told her I wouldn't be able to survive without the Ronson so she bought me one.

What's the last piece of equipment you bought for your kitchen?
A large frypan from Woolworths so we can do stir frys now and not lose half of it when it's stirred. Can't afford a wok just yet.

What piece of kitchen equipment could you not live without?
As above - the Ronson grill - I use it for everything.

What's the last thing you cooked from raw ingredients?
What you mean from scratch? I did a chicken salad a few days ago. This morning I had bacon, eggs, hash browns and pineapple.

What meats have you eaten besides cow, pig and poultry?
Well lamb of course. Buffalo, venison, emu, rabbit, various seafoods.

What's the last time you ate something that had fallen on the floor?
Probably yesterday.

What's the last time you ate something you'd picked in the wild?
Nothing wild around here to pick. Do Ralph's grapes count?

Place in order of preference (greatest to least) (Sushi, Italian, Chinese, French, Thai, Indian)
Italian, Sushi, Chinese, Indian (but not hot), French (never really tried French cuisine), Thai (it's always way too hot for me).

Place in order of preference (whiskey, brandy, rum, other liquors)
All are yuck. Brandy and sherry however are great for marinading fruit in.

Place in order of preference (Garlic, Lime, Ginger, Basil, Mint, Caramel, Aniseed)
Since when did caramel become a spice? Anyway...
Garlic, Basil, Mint, Aniseed, Ginger, Lime.

Place in order of preference (Food, Sex, The Internet, Movies, Sport, Fashion)
Food, sex... sport comes last. I have a love/hate relationship with the net and fashion... well I love funky clothes and jewellery but I don't follow what's "in". If I like it I like it.

Bread and spread:
Toast and nutella.

What's your fast food restaurant of choice, and what do you usually order?
Seeing as we use a voucher book so we can afford to eat out, Matt and I usually go to a different restaurant every time.
The lamb tagine from Cassablanca's Moroccan Restaurant in Mosman Park was AMAZING!

LATER - okay, so I've read the question properly and it says FAST FOOD restaurant.

Fast food - Sweet Lips is great. For chain stores I'll probably say Subway because it's cheap, healthy and yummy.

Pick a city. What are the three best dining experiences you've had in that city?
Well I'll go with Perth I guess seeing as I live here.
1. Cassablanca's lamb tagine.
2. Just eating at Jimmy Deans - it's always entertaining.
3. Sweet Lips fish and chips and light and tasty squid legs!

What's your choice of tipple at the end of a long day?
I don't do the tipple thing.

What's the next thing you'll eat?
Just had breakfast. Probably lunch - or more Darrel Lea licorice.
