Hrmm, I was hearing some mysterious sound coming from somewhere upstairs. Rather disconcerting, so I kept quiet, held my breath and listened carefully.
It was dad snoring, sheesh. I'm glad Matt isn't THAT loud.
I remember when I was 9 or so writing a tale called "The Duck Gun". Crappy name, crappy story too. Couple gets lost in the bush, one of them gets bitten by a snake (in retrospect the snake bit is unneccessary for the story). He has his rifle with him. So they shoot a roo to eat. (Also in retrospect, they were only there one night, if that. If I rewrote it I would sure change a few things but still, not the point). When they are finally found they explain how they only took enough to survive and all and the police were very understanding and commended them and all that.
Basically it was a tale of common sense prevailing. I found it heartwarming, even before the world became so stupid litigiously fucked up as it is these days.
I think I'll try really hard on this Evol & Con essay then post you the finished product here. I'm sure you'll all love that. :p
