You mean, you didn't get through Anne Rice's book? *appalled gasp* She is my hero! I wish I could write like her! I don't know how many books of hers I own...Okay, she gets a little deep and wordy at times, but if I'm having a day of low concentration I just grab one of my Stephen King books instead. I love him, too, he's my hero. You just don't need a dictionary to read his stuff :)

I enjoyed the first one, though I am not a fan of heavy prose.

The second one however....

*shudders*

I got to the part where he makes his mother his dead vampire lover, dropped the book, said 'Anne Rice is sick' and never looked at it again.

And Queen of the Damned was terrible. Just see the movie...actually on second thoughts, don't.

I have read all the books, and am truely disgusted by "the queen of the damned". The book is a masterwork but that movie is a travesty. I did love Interview, it got me reading the books in the first place :)

I started reading Interview in 1995, after seeing (and loving) the movie.

I still haven't finished it, I just got slower and slower and eventually stopped.

Also on the movie "Queen of the Damned", Lestat wasn't portaited as the almost-homosexual bastard he is in the books. He's so funny :)

The worst travesty of that movie was the Queen of the Damned herself:

Book: Skin paler than snow, with bright blue eyes.
