Fireworks was cool. But I was disgusted that they only had 2 Aussie songs in the actual fireworks soundtrack. I think they should bring back the old format with themed segments and do 99% Aussie music, after all, it IS Australia Day.

Matt drank too much beer again, became loud, obnoxious, uncaring bastard. *sigh* I wish he wouldn't for a change, I'd like to share some experiences with him but when others are around they seem to take priority over me. :(
He's fast asleep now, hopefully he'll be normal again when he wakes.

Got in a bit of silly dancing around, no-one else really joined in tho, lazy arses.

And I have discovered that I unfortunately will not be able to participate in the Urban Myths panel at Genghis Con because it's right in the middle of karaoke and I will go into ugly withdrawals if I miss karaoke for 2 weeks in a row!!

I saw it on tv afterwards, and *totally* with you on the music thing. I remember when you couldn't have the skyworks without Khe San, Land Down Under and all those *classic* aussie songs. And what do we get this time? one INXS, and one Skyhooks.

Plus the song patching from one to another was awful.

Ahh Dear, Alcohol tends to do that to some people, but Thats part (only a small part) of What Australia day is about, Australians unitiing, getting drunk, having a picnic, being stuck in traffic, trying to find parking in the heat, AND SEEING FIREWORKS!!!
With the thing about WAnting SOME attention when others around, not feeling like being a shadow (seen but not noticed)
I know that one, it gets annoying, but hey, when you're alone, as long as you get attention and lovin', thats all that matters, if you don't get it then, thats when you Slap him in tha face and say "oi!"

I thought last nights music was 'ok', we did have 1 minute of Kylie, but yeah more australian music, BUT not the same shit we hear every year would have been nice. also WOULD have been nice if one barge didn't fuck it up! (they let one off early and a few 5 mins late!)

I can understand some beer, as it's an Australian institution or something. I wish I liked beer so I could join in, unfortunately I think it's some of the foulest stuff around.

It's just when it gets to be too much that I don't like it. I hate the fact that I sometimes have to become jealous of a bloody drink.
