So I started watching Game of Thrones

Like... 2, 3 days ago? I'm now almost finished the first season. This has sucked me in good. I seem to very into royal successions and political intrigue lately. What with the whole Shakespearean Henriad thing and reading some intricate Thor/Norse based fanfic, one in particular that involved "Jotun political machinations".

Obviously the Dothraki are modelled on the Mongol Hordes, but Dany seriously reminds me of Elric of Melnibone. And I am hoping she will be doing some awesome dragon-based stuff as the series progresses like Elric does at one point.

And I have the theme music stuck in my head.

I watched all of it. I don't like Melisandre, her weird shadow-baby killed a character that I was really starting to like.
