So, stuck between the rock and a hard place of Rudd and Abbott (Rudd is far from perfect, but Abbott is a nightmare), the Aussie government Took a third option and now Julia Gillard is our new Prime Minister.
She is the first female PM for Australia, and, as they noted on the radio, our first redhead PM too.
I guess we'll see how it goes. Do we dare to hope that she'll do something good for the country? Or will it be same old same old from those in power?
(For all the politcially educated people out there - I know this isn't exactly how it is, but it's how it looks from my angle).

Date: 2010-06-24 11:46 am (UTC)she is on the 7.30 report now talking about how when they campaigned together they forged 'a genuine friendship'... then why did she stab him in the back?
either way, my primary wont go to a major party and my preference will fall to labor before, as my friend calls abbott 'the budgie smuggling jesus pimp'... and his cronies.
I liked kev. I am saddened by the last 24 hours
