I don't know an awful lot about tax. My financial affairs are simple and I don't have much money and I my most expensive asset is my car.
But working for a law firm I've come to realise it's quite terrifying how little financial freedom we actually have. There are government organisations everywhere looking to gouge you for any large financial transaction you make. You can't even give a large sum of your own damn money to someone else in an act of kindness without being gouged up the wazoo.
It scares me.
