Almost, but I didn't, I said I had chicken pox and had 2 weeks of self-imposed stress leave.

I've now been at that same job another whole year and osciallte back and forth between, "this job is destroying me. I have to quit or I'll be stuck in this rut forever." to "It's really not that bad or taxing, and it's a secure income."

*sigh*

Much soul searching and budgeting to be done over the 2 week Christmas break.

I did! I walked out of Domino's because they kept rostering me for shifts I'd told them I couldn't do. And then when I left a note on the roster pointing out the mistake, someone had scrawled under it "so quit then!" or something to that effect. So I did.

Man, that was satisfying.

Yeah but back then you were probably still living at your parents and didn't have the money worries we do now we're 30. *cries*

But really, if the ONLY reason I'm staying at a job is because it pays (not well, just... pays), it's probably the wrong reason to be sticking around.

May I poke you and ask about hoodie progress?? :)

Yep, exactly. I then went to TAFE and didn't work again for several years living off Mum and supplement loan (which I still owe... about 50k. Eeeek)

So yes - not advising it in your situation in the least. ;)

Hoodie... well I have it by my bed so I will see it and not forget it but am still surrounded by boxes so haven't got it out to work on yet. But do keep poking me, especially if it gets closer to when you need it. Will probably not take too long.

You get a 2 week Christmas break? *envies* I get the public holidays only. :( But then I haven't had time to save up any annual leave yet anyhow.

I have a tendency to stay in jobs I have stopped enjoying for too long, because leaving for something unknown can be scary.

Hope you find something you are more passionate about. ^___^
