The muscles beside my spine from just below my ribs almost to my hips really hurt.

Could Wiiboxing have caused this? Will it go away? Is it cause for concern?

Owies. :(

probably just a bit of soft tissue strain.... don't lift heavy things and rest and it should be fine...

Some of the muscle excercises target that area, have you been doing any of them? I tried some of them for the first time today and they nearly killed me.

Yes,the extensions you do throwing punches in Wiiboxing could cause that. Make sure to warm up & cool down. The pain should ease as the muscles get used to the new activity, but if it doe snot, then you should get checked out.

Ah interesting... I get this pain a lot. My waist curve really aches and the pain tracks round the outside of my hips.

Guess for me it is all the reaching doing till work, so yeah, that could be similar to throwing a boxing punch.

Perhaps just leave off the Wiiboxing for a while until the ache subsides?

Yeah, sounds like something you could do boxing - extending and twisting the body to throw punches. I get that sort of pain from it if I do too much/haven't done it for ages.
