Today's boss stupid

"I don't know. I know I printed it, I don't know what happened from there."
*boss rifles through some older documents, this was just printed yesterday. Eventually remembers it's somewhere on his desk and goes to grab it.
"Where did that file go?"
"It's right here." I gesture to the open file on my desk, which he put there and was going through... not more than 10 seconds ago.
"I don't know. I know I printed it, I don't know what happened from there."
