There is a person on the local Freecycle group who is always posting asking for Discworld novels so they can read them.

One wonders if this person has ever heard of libraries.

Who gives away Discworld books? I mean, honestly?

I looove Discworld and would indeed not dream to part of any of my books. Not even to swap my Dutch ones for English ones or vice versa to create a more uniform aestetically pleasing bookshelf of the kind my great love aspires(who needs a pretty shelf when the INSIDE of the books is where you want your eyes to be?).
My discworld collection is a confusing mix of books written in Dutch or English depending on who gave it as a gift, or which language the bookshop at the horrendously cold train station where my train was once again delayed due to frozen-to-death cows on the tracks (or something) happened to to selling them in.
My boyfriend doesn't like them. He has no patience for witty linguistic roller-coaster rides. The poor bastard...
I'd never get discworl from a library because I want pWN493!

I'd never part with my collection. I wonder if they know you can get most of them as ebooks?

Or, for that matter, charity/thrift book shops? That's where a decent chunk of my collection came from.

After collecting 32 novels, half a dozen other volumes and a couple of short stories I decided that I'd just had enough. So, I believe I sold them to a friend of mine for the lowest price that she would accept.

Neverending collections frustrate me. It's not like I can't just find someone to borrow the books from... So, I don't really see the point in piling them onto my shelves forever and ever.
