Landcruiser Troopy campervan. I could go anywhere and sleep anywhere.

But awful fuel consumption figures. Depending on how many people you are planning on taking along, I'd go with something smaller.

Is there any smaller vehicle practical for a campervan?

Would be neat to convert it to biodiesel. I know a Troopy can take me where I want to go.

Diesel cars will automatically run on biodiesel. No conversion required. My car has been running on a biodiesel blend that you can buy from Gull for quite a while.

Depends what you want in a 'camper'. I've seen 4x4 diesel ute setups that look really comfy, and would be more fuel efficent due to it being a lighter vehicle.

Also, I'd want something significantly newer than that troupie. That's the age when annoying bits of trim start falling off and bits start rusting etc.
