Writer's Block: When I Grow Up

I do things that I swore I would never do 15 minutes ago. I.E. Crossing Crab Creek.
I also swore I would never get my ears pierced when I was younger, but at 10 I changed my mind - I now have 2 lobe piercings per ear and one cartilage piercing.
I used to think that I would at some stage get blind drunk and learn my lesson and never drink heavily again. In the end I've never drunk much alcohol and never intend to do so.
ETA: Thought of a few more.
When I was younger I was anti-abortion. Now I've grown up and read and thought about it more I am strongly pro-choice.
I used to think I'd get married and have a few kids etc. Now I'm unsure if I'd want to bother with marriage and the likelihood of me having kids is vanishingly small. I guess when you're younger you have the 'life plan' shoved down your throat and as you get older you can come to realise that hey, you don't have to follow the plan.
