Taxonomic outrage?

Wolverine was thoroughly entertaining as expected.

My only gripe is the taxonomy of the whole thing. Howling at the moon, wolves do that, not wolverines. Wolverines (Gulo gulo) are squat critters more closely related to badgers and weasels than dogs or wolves. A wolf is Canis lupus, part of the Canidae, not the Mustelidae like the wolverine.

Yet, the head he finds in the woods? THAT was a wolverine.

Yeah, i thought that was a bit odd myself... but I didn't kinow enough about Gulo gulo to call Bullshit. For all I knew they DO scream at night

Actually, as far as I know they ARE pretty damn noisy - kinda like a Tasmanian Devil I imagine. They were the subject of various old myths - probably due to the creepy sounds in the night.
