There are so many things. But I think the biggest may be waste. So many people simply throw things out that are perfectly good to use. In the office that I work in soooo much paper goes to waste but my boss won't do anything to change his ways, I do what I can to make sure paper is reused or put in a recycle bin. If we just thought about it or willing to spend a little money I've no doubt most of these waste products could be reduced or reused in such a way as to make MORE money in the long run, but no-one wants to make the short-term changes.

What am I doing?

I recycle when I can (my council doesn't have the best recycling program).
If I no longer want something I sell it on eBay/in the Quokka, Freecycle it or donate it to an op-shop.
I use as much of food as I can - if it smells and looks okay I disregard use-by dates, I freeze leftovers, I make stock out of bones and veggie scraps.
I try to buy stuff with less packaging.
I use a Mooncup. A single silicone cup instead of mounds of pads and tampons and their packaging.
I try to use reusable plastic containers instead of bags and Glad Wrap.
I use Green bags instead of plastic bags most of the time (sometimes I forget the green bags).
I compost.
I use greywater when I can.

I second almost everything in this post! So many people at my workplace keep throwing out recyclable cans or bottles instead of putting them in the recycling, I go so far as to dig them out and leave notes by the garbage but people still keep doing it. Same with papers, our workplace STILL doesn't have paper recycling and it hurts to see how much paper we throw out >.<

I recycle as much as I possibly can at home, and I use cloth bags at the store. <3 my divacup.

Also, what is greywater?

Greywater is water that's been used for something already - usually laundry, or showers or washing dishes. You can use it to water plants with no problems.

Water from toilets is known as black water and that poses more issues if it's to be reused.

Though greywater can be different shades of grey depending on the detergents etc. you use.

I always have my green bag in my normal bag that I always take with me when I go out... The only time it's not in my normal bag are when I've gone and bought something and not remembered to put it back in. ^_^;
