Doesn't everyone. And yes. It's right up there with nails down chalkboard and people pronouncing my name wrong.

Augh, I HATE that! I know the pain of the mispronounced name all too well. I think they got it right at my high school graduation, and that was a shocker. I try to tell people, "it sounds just like it's spelled," but people always try to put a weird French-like spin on it. My grandmother (my mother's mother, mind you) insists that it's pronounced with a silent "c," whereas my father's family all pronounce it the way I do.

A few weeks back, I actually had a pharmacist correct me about how I pronounce my own name!
