I caught a case of the dumb on Sunday
Apr. 6th, 2009 09:41 pmWhen making bread products, and you put Glad Wrap over it while it's rising, make sure you take the Glad Wrap off before putting it in the oven.
(In the end it wasn't a complete disaster. Glad Wrap being it's quirky self kinda shrunk instead of melted so most bits could just be peeled off. Other bits more stuck on had to be sliced off along with some of the apple twist I made. It was a little unnerving because the gelatine glaze to go on the bread looks and feels a lot like plastic. And despite the filling falling out everywhere, it's quite tasty and I shall make it again, taking on what I have learned.
In other news - Anyone interested in joining me for the quiz night at the Roundhouse on Thursday night?
