I have a song stuck in my head. The annoying thing is that I can't get past the intro, and because I can't recall anymore it keeps segueing into Real Gone Kid by Deacon Blue or Computer Games by Mi-Sex - and I know it's neither of those songs.

I'm pretty sure it's an 80's era song. And it starts with something percussive, like a glockenspeil but with a bit more vibrato. Then it goes into saxaphone.

They better play it on the radio in the next few days so I can figure out what it is and get it out of my head.

Not that I'd be able to guess it most like, but...

What sort of tempo? And can you tell if it's simple or compound time?

I figured it out. The song was Hairspray, not sure who sings it. But just knowing the song and how the rest of it goes has got it out of my head.
