The George Foreman Grill. :p Or a frypan.

A lounge

The device on the outside of the house that carries rain off the roof
Gutters and downpipes.

The covered area outside a house where people sit in the evening
Patio or verandah depending on the structure. The covering may or may not be a pergola.

Carbonated, sweetened, non-alcoholic beverages
Softies/soft drinks.

A flat, round breakfast food served with syrup
A pancake.

A long sandwich designed to be a whole meal in itself
A sub or roll. A sandwich is a meal in itself anyway! Bloody Americans and their overeating.

The piece of clothing worn by men at the beach
Hopefully boardies or board shorts, but if you're unfortunate they'll be Speedos.

Shoes worn for sports
Sneakers.

A flying insect that glows in the dark
Firefly. No Australian insects bioluminesce, at least none that I know of.

The little insect that curls up into a ball
Slaters. And they're not insects.

The children's playground equipment where one kid sits on one side and goes up while the other sits on the other side and goes down
A see-saw.

How you eat pizza
Tip of slice to crust.

Where private citizens sell their household goods/stuff in their driveway/front yard
A garage sale.

The thing under a house where the furnace and perhaps a rec room are
A basement. But they're not common in Australia and certainly don't contain furnaces.

The thing that you can get water out of to drink in public places
Drink fountain.

But isn't funny that big guys think that its their god given right to wear speedos however...a bigger girl in a decent looking bikini, oh no thats a crime against nature or the world..

Ahhh, Buffy. Once More...With Feeling has to be my favourite episode of any tv show I have ever seen. Hee!

But - you haven't seen all the Buffy episodes? This surprises me...

Around 2003 a bunch of my friends used to gather and watch Buffy every week. I caught a few episodes via that, but for some reason I really wasn't that interested (I also saw a few eps of Angel this way), even though I kinda realised it was a pretty decent show.

I've watched Once More With Feeling countless times, I have a copy of that on my laptop. :)

I probably will get around to watching it all sometime, plenty of friends have the whole series on DVD.

What about glow worms? I think that's what they're called at least. When I was over there I took a tour that included a small cave on the Gold Coast that had something that glowed in it. I believe the tour guide said it was glow worms.

Tis quite possible. I know there are caves in New Zealand with glow worms.

Nothing like that around Perth though (that I know of).
