EDIT : Seems it's not as exciting/wanky as I'd hoped. I'm well aware of the whole no more basic accounts thing. LJ, your source for wank on the internet.

Well, some people are pissed because LJ decided to disallow creation of new basic accounts from last week. New accounts will either have to be paid, or be "plus" accounts with ads on them.

Even more people are pissed at the fact that LJ didn't announce this fact along with all their other new changes, but instead quietly changed the FAQ and sign up process. Big wankstorm. If you're interested in slogging through the long version, pop on over to the fandom_wank post
