Tonight my 4 favourite couples were first. But I also now have a new fave couple, and they were last. ;)
And what was with Jason tonight? It was like, "Oh that Mary woman is here, so what do I do? I know, I'll be as nasty and non-constructive as possible." Bleh. At least Mary IS constructive among all the screaming and yankee accent.
And I don't like how the dancers are criticised for bad choreography. It's not like they have a say in what steps they do, they just do them.
Demi & Jack - Jazz
I wasn't keen on the music for this and the routine wasn't awfully exciting either. I do love how these two are always smiling and having fun with each other though.
Vanessa & Henry - Contemporary Disco
Gosh, you can see the difference between a self-taught dancer like Demi and two disciplined dancers like Henry and Vanessa, it seems they'll do well at whatever style they're given. This was funky, I liked it. But Vanessa's eyelashes were just... weird.
Camilla & Sermsah - Contemporary
These two were back in form this week - I think it's the sleek outfits that do it. ;) You could see Sermsah thinking a bit about some of the lifts, but overall this was very cool.
Jemma & Rhys - Paso Doble
Eeeee! Paso! Intruging choice of music - hardly any beat at all but still dramatic and appropriate for a Paso. Bit of trivia - the piece they danced to tonight was the opening sequence from Romeo & Juliet, Courtney and Hilton danced to the end credits music from Romeo & Juliet 2 weeks back. AND, Strictly Ballroom, another Baz Lurhmann film, featured a Paso Doble danced to no music. Apart from the buggered up lift this was awesome and dramatic and just like a Paso should be. I totally understand what the judges were saying about it being like watching a movie.
Steph & Marko - Krump
I think these guys put in a pretty good effort this week, but they were out of time a bit. This dance actually made me not want them in the bottom 3 this week.
Laura & Anthony - Soul Swing
When I first saw their outfits I thought they were gonna be Lindy Hopping or something. This was funky, I liked it. And I like how she nailed that flip. It was cool and colourful, and Anthony had a shirt on! Thank God!
Rhiannon & J.D. - Tango
I was just waiting for J.D. to fall apart with this dance and he did. Tango is all sharp and defined movements and all J.D. does is flop about. I DID notice him leading for a bit there, but he was walking and Rhiannon was just dancing circles around him. As for Rhiannon, she's quite the little sex kitten isn't she? She's also majorly pouty, when the judges speak it looks like she's about to burst into tears and/or have a hissy fit.
Kate & Graeme - Bollywood
*Squee* Finally Kate finds a worthy partner. I had curry for dinner so this was kinda appropriate. Too much hip-hop and not enough Bollywood for me, but I liked it all the same.
I want to see these guys attempt - Belly Dancing, Tap and Ballet. THAT would be interesting.
Hrm, of this lot I'd send home - J.D. and... Tough call, all the girls were good, Laura or Steph.

Date: 2008-03-02 01:40 pm (UTC)all that aside, it is easy to say which guy should be walking this week. if JD is in the bottom three, hes gone.
as for the girls, I hate to say demi might go, or steph, or camilla (she just comes across as having a bit of attitude when it comes to WORKING with her partner) or someone. it shouldnt be rhiannon or kate. thats about it

Date: 2008-03-02 02:44 pm (UTC)Rhiannon... I thought her obvious tearyness was fair enough; she just had a bad one and was getting told about it. Never easy. What I thought was unclassy was when they asked her what happened and she said to J.D. "you can explain". Obviously it was his mistake, but it felt like she was blame-shifting.
