Date: 2008-02-29 02:51 pm (UTC)I like a lot of different music too. Probably not quite as varied as your tastes, but wider than most of my friends. I grew up listening to my mum's 60's and 70's music, loved (and still love) the 80's and most of the 90's, and am re-discovering music in the Noughties (hubby severely dislikes my current tastes in music - from Nickelback to Hinder, Three Doors Down to Maroon 5, Anastacia, Kelly Clarkson, Destiny's Child, Eskimo Joe and Michael Buble - to name just a few. He's more into classical and instrumental, along with Japanese Anime/game soundtracks - particularly the entire Final Fantasy franchise...)
I generally do reasonably well at Quiz Nights on music questions - but a friend of mine (who's not an LJ'er) is a legitimate phenomenon when it comes to music. His tastes are so wide and varied - he can practically name any song, any band from the first line, and more often than not, the opening bars (I'm ok with some songs, but damn, he's good) of the song - I bow to his greatness...
Eclectic tastes in music ROCK (pun intended!) :)
