They FINALLY sent me a health care card, it arrived today. A few days AFTER I've had to pay for medical expenses that would have been cheaper with the card.

But the bit that stumps me most.

"Expires 29 Jan 2008" is written at the top of the card.

And at the bottom?

"Card start 2 Feb 2008"

Buh?

Ha, yes, I think I waited like two years for my health care card. All in all it sounds depressingly typical.

Ah centrelink, how I hope never to have to deal with them ever again.

You expect Centrelink to do anything useful? Therein lies the fault in your logic.

That said I have used a 3yr expired HCC to get scrips on PBS before. Noone ever checked the expiry date.
