I just went outside to see if I could find comet McNaught.

My gosh, it's as bright as Venus! It's even better through the binoculars.

Why does Halley's get all the fame? This one was 10 squillion times more visible. :)

Should be visible for a few days around sunset.

WSW, west of Venus and just above the horizon near the setting sun.

nodnod! re halley - it comes back more often, and used to be much brighter than in 86. Halley dying, poor thing.
