Can't go this year due to lack of time anyway, but I learned that ride prices are now $7-$10. *gapes*

It's getting cheaper to fly to south-east Asia and go to theme parks there. Cosmo's World in KL cost about $10Au to get in, had loads of cool rides and it was an all day pass-out arrangement, so you could go to the food hall to eat and shop at the massive Berjaya Times Square between rides.

I love the show, but at that price I'm doubting if I'll go again, which makes me sad.

Same. And $20 to get in, wtf? Also, 8 years later and I am still annoyed that they offer no student concession to over 18s.

Not to mention they now have showbags above the $50 mark. Wow.

Also, are you moving properly tomorrow, or just shifting stuff? I might be in for karaoke tomorrow night if my ear infection improves.

Moving properly. We might have to come back Sunday for another load, but we'll be heading straight back to Narrogin. I start work on Tuesday.

Admittedly the $50 bag DOES contain over $100 worth of Lindt chocolate so it's worth it. I like the Darrel Lea bag, it's $20 but really good value, and you don't have to go to the show to get it, they sell it at Darrel Lea stores!

I go to the Royal Perth Agricultural Show, not the Royal Perth Amusement Show.

sure the 20$ is fucking expensive to get in, but if you don't go on rides it's not really a problem financially. You just have to remember to bring your own water or be slugged 5$/600ml.

The rides are my main reason for going, that's the problem.

Adventure World sucks, and is also becoming way more expensive than it's worth.

*sigh* The perils of being a thrill ride freak in Perth.

oh, I like the rides too. but they are hideously expensive, and I tend to travel at least once a year to a place with a theme park with real rollercoasters and get my fix there where you don't have to pay for each ride individually.

no thats it, the royal show is rediculously expensive. I remember when I went about 11 years ago (I have been once since) I took over $100 to spend for the day... one day!

KL sounds good. the royal show even makes the theme parks in QLD look good. sure you pay $60 to get in... but everything is free (except the over priced food and drinks, but you take a picnic anyway).

I scored a free Family Pass to the show :D Although it will probably still cost a fortune, so I'll just repeat to myself that I saved $50 and blank the day out when I get home..
