Instant bitchfight! Wow, I stopped reading after the first few comments because it just got too depressing! Too many comments by people who have never worked in a call centre and faced the un-ending abuse from idiots. If they just HELPED you instead of WHINING or swearing or whatever, then you'd help them faster and get them back to doing whatever they were doing.

I think I have heard similar complaints to the OP in the UK system. 75-90% are / may be decent people in a hard spot that makes them cranky and whiny and sure, the OP's job may be to suck it up to their face - but like ER doctors who joke about their patient's misfortune, we all kick out a bit to make ourselves feel better :P
And there are enough welfare cheats / dodgers / whatever scum thinks the government owes them a living just for breathing that they taint the waters for the rest!
