Someone in an another community I'm in is wondering if her infrequent cigarette smoking greatly increases her risk of blood clots with the pill.

Another smoker replied that they are probably at no higher risk than a non-smoker.

I want to know how much the risk is increased by PASSIVE smoking. Shit, us people who choose not to smoke are still being exposed to all the cigarette crap if we decide to go to a venue that allows smoking, which MUST increase our risk. Why don't the people who make medications take this into account? Just because someone chooses not to smoke doesn't mean they don't get the same exposure to the chemicals.

Did that make sense?
