I'm going to die of skin cancer.

Why can't they invent a sunscreen that
- is easy to apply (none of this "so many spoonfulls per inch of skin, spread in a layer, don't rub in, apply 30 minutes before going into the sun").
- isn't slimy.
- doesn't smell funny.
- doesn't irritate my skin.
- doesn't sting my eyes?

Then I'd be more studious about applying it.

I mean, I know it's irrational. The inconvience of cancer far outweighs the inconvenience of applying sunscreen. But I always think to myself, "Oh I can just take a cold shower and put aloe on it." (Which is a lot more pleasant to apply). I also often don't know half an hour beforehand if I'm gonna be in the sun.

It's funny that sunscreen manufacturers also ignore a statistically significant segment of their business: the tattooed who are paranoid about fading their body art. We've seen the tattoos of (especially) Navy men of the previous generation, which are now just faded green blobs in many cases (the tattoos, that is, not the retired sailors), and we don't want that happening to ours; for one thing, we paid a lot of money for them!

Fortunately, my thigh tattoos see very little sun (unless I finally learn to swim this year), so as a madly jingoistic USA slogan puts it, "These colors don't run." :D

Does the sun or the sunscreen fade the tatts?

If it makes you feel better, generally skin cancer is easier to spot, if you make sure to check yourself over. And when it's caught early, almost no one dies from it.

I'm the same way, I never really know beforehand if I'm going to be out in the sun for a long time.

You wanna see the lovely big scar on my left shoulder from where I had the funny 'not a melanoma, but very well could be in the future' mole on my shoulder that I got from not putting sunscreen on when I should have?

SPRAY ON SUNCREAM
i dunno the brand but ive seen it and used it once before and its fairly decent

I wanan know why they cant invent a suncream enriched with aloe vera so you dont get sunburnt and if you do you dont need to worry about how much it'll suck cos of the aloe vera!
