Back from South Australia (very pleasant trip).
Healthy again.
Which means I want to do karaoke tomorrow.
Anyone else doing the same?

You Have a Phlegmatic Temperament

Mild mannered and laid back, you take life at a slow pace.
You are very consistent - both in emotions and actions.
You tend to absorb set backs easily. You are cool and collected.

It is difficult to offend you. You can remain composed and unemotional.
You are a great friend and lover. You don't demand much of others.
While you are quiet, you have a subtle wit that your friends know well.

At your worst, you are lazy and unwilling to work at anything.
You often get stuck in a rut, without aspirations or dreams.
You can get too dependent on others, setting yourself up for abandonment.

So, how'd you do on birds? And how was the weather? It's getting snowy throughout most of the US now ;_;

I shall get to the birds. ;)

It just requires me to put the post on the laptop (not connected to net) onto a thumb drive, put the thumb drive in my computer downstairs (not connected to net), transfer file to a floppy disk, then transfer info from floppy disk to parents computer (which is connected to the net, but using old Windows and won't talk to the thumb drive).

Either that or I visit Matt and use his wireless connection to upload straight from the lappy.

Complicated ain't it? But the birds were good! :)

Hey, i know this is off topic, sorry! But I was just wondering what the gestation for a Lewins Honeyeater is. I have a nesting couple in front of my kitchen window and they have just laid an egg (3 days ago) just wondering the chances of a christmas baby. =) thanks! (ps, I cant seem to find it on the internet!)

Well that was a different question! Where are you these days to have Lewin's Honeyeaters in your garden?

I believe the correct term is incubation, not gestation. :)

The only book I have that could be helpful is Michael Morcombe's field guide and he just describes the nest and eggs and breeding times. Nothing about how long they take to hatch. Only one egg? The book says usual clutch size is 2 or 3 so one probably isn't that weird.

well, the first site google lists says 14 days.

And I don't even know what a Lewin's Honeyeater looks like, heh. :P

Oh, I was being fancy and consulting my library! hehe

Good ol' Birds in Backyards, should do more surveys for them soon.

WB!

Sadly, I cannot do karaoke because work has given me not only a late shift on Friday, but also an early shift on Saturday. There's just enough time in there for sleeping, but nothing else.
