Two things I've always wanted to do properly. Whenever I see other people doing it I always go, "I wish I could do that."

I also really need to get over my fear of stuffing up. It stops me doing a lot of things from the mandane to the ridiculous. I'm so scared of screwing up I just don't try in the first place. Other people get away with cockups, I know I'm perfectly allowed to do the same.

Yes... I agree, both are very fun. I love English riding, although I bet you'd prefer trail riding so you could be birding and wallowing in nature at the same time.

Some of the funniest most engaging people are making right asses of themselves all the time! No one cares. I once knew a girl who was so attracted to her new boyfriend because he wasn't afraid to embarrass himself. She found it so endearing that he was that uninhibited. I knew the guy, and he was hysterical! :) So go for it! Be an ass!

You should definitely learn to ride! It's so much fun, and you are expected to know absolutely 0 when you start; most instructors prefer blank slate students to people who think they know what they're doing and are so very wrong.

And dancing is just so much fun (I do swing and belly dancing mostly). If you're in a class with other beginners, everybody will be making beginner mistakes...so what's to be embarassed about?

...now learning to dance ON horseback...that could be fun. ^-~ (I don't know if I've had too much caffeine or not enough. Pardon this post at any rate.)

Being afraid to do stuff suxs, But i do it to :/
I am trying qwuite hard to make an ass of myself atm though :) It is fun to bean ass. Espcially when tis scary to do so :)

& horse riding is fun :) So is dancing :) Bug me if u do get arround to lessons as I should pick 1 up sometime again.

I have the same problem. If I can't do something straight away I feel stupid and give up on it. I haven't actually learnt how to do anything new since I was young.
I would love to learn how to ride a horse!! That's one thing that would be worth the embarrassment of the initial stuff-ups.
I can dance already... =)
