Boo-boo

My left little toe is purple.

I whacked it on a card stand on the way to answering the phone yesterday. I had to pause for a moment and stop swearing before I answered the phone in the normal manner. "Broome Bird Observatory. Belinda speaking."

Yaknow - there are way too many dog people and way too few cat people in Broome. Sure, the lack of cats is better for bushbirds (although there are still plenty of feral kitties), but a lot of the dog owners are irresponsible and that also causes a lot of trauma for birds. Why do people think only cats bother birds?

Obviously coz only cats hunt birds, dogs crashing through nesting bushes or chasing birds for fun doesn't do any damage o_O

purple toes aren't that pretty

yeah, dogs are just as anoying, moreso since they just leave the birds frightened and disturbed, and maybe homeless, rather than killing them, although cats don't always kill their prey i guess.

You are now the third person I know directly this week who has smashed their little toe. squasher and azhure are both sporting black bubby toes. And someone on azhure's f-list said her mum broke her toe this week too.

The Toe Gods are angry this week, my friend...

LOL. Just when my second littlest toe just stopped being purple. (and the nail finally grew back.

If the nail bed turns black and starts to hurt like a mother fucker take a paper clip and bend the outside straight edge out to form an "L" shape then use a lighter to heat up the tip then burn a hole right through the nail. This will relieve the pressure and the pain will subside. Your toe will bleed like fountain but hey, no more pain!
