You are the perfect person to ask about binoculars.
I want a pair for watching the volcano erupt (crosses fingers, sooner it goes, sooner it's safe again for climbing). What should I look for (ie what are the signs of good binoculars?)
- Look for "Leica", "Swarovski" or "Zeiss" written on bins. - Spew up your life savings for them - or spew up your life savings and buy them for me. - Take me to watch volcano erupt and I will let you borrow them. :)
Which volcano? I love volcanoes, I must visit an active one someday, or maybe 2 or 3 or 4...
As for bins, really I don't know much apart from those brands cost a bomb but are worth every penny. I'd recommend 10x42s for the best magnification and lighting.
