My post went up on abortiondebate, I had a busy day and am just now checking e-mails.

14 pages! Most of them comments on my post no doubt. At least the discussion should be interesting!

I'm reading it.

Some of the replies make me go, "You're useless, get out of this debate."

Others make me go "Squee! You rock!" Because they're also putting forward awesome points and making ME think.

Hheheheh well, debates aren't as much about being right or whatever as just getting other people's point of view. I read the replies & yeah some people are just too clueless to actually get the whole point to debating whereas some people are brilliant!

Heh. That was a good post.

Without reading the comments I'll try (pro-forma) to suggest the only viable argument against what you proposed would be "prevention is better than cure" (i.e., the birth control pre-fertilisation is good, post-fertilisation is bad).

Not that I agree with it, but it's probably the best argument that could be made.

For the record -- that's one of the coolest questions I've seen asked about this debate. A lot of people seem to think that political issues exist in a vacuum ... but everything is connected in the end somehow.
