Forgetting poetic posts strikes again
Mar. 29th, 2005 06:47 pmHaha, that title makes so little sense.
I went to Town Beach last night to catch the Stairway To The Moon and accompanying market. The market pretty much consisted of screaming kids, food stalls and stalls selling beaded jewellery - dammit. I did a get a pretty decent fishburger, just like the ones I used to always get in primary school! The actual stairway was ho-hum, as I remember it was last time, I don't know why so many people get SO excited about it. Maybe because it only happens in some parts of the world? The rising moon was huge and orange which was awesome, but the actual stairway was nothing to write home about. The crowd reminded me of Oz Day fireworks in Perth. Loads of people sitting on the foreshore and afterwards streams of people walking the streets back to their cars. Weird.
This morning was our first sea mist! We get lots of them in the dry. Unfortunately it soon lifted and turned into an incredibly humid day.
Our first sea mist. Followed by hot and humid day. :( I got catified though! There was an orange kitty at the birdbaths. We looked at each for a while before he slinked away. I kept my mouth shut about his presence. I know cats are awful to have feral around here, but I couldn't rat him out, he was so pretty.
I now have gators (sock protectors), now I feel even more proffessional.
